New Hampshire Metrology Laboratory

The Metrology Laboratory (Lab) is the custodian of the official mass, volume and length standards for the State and provides world class level calibration services to the legal weights and measures community including both the public and private sectors.

Lab calibrations are traceable to the national standards maintained by the United States Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Lab maintains ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code: 200649-0). Mass calibrations are available in echelon levels I (extra fine accuracy), II (fine accuracy), and III (medium accuracy). Volume calibrations are available in echelon levels I (gravimetric) and II (volume transfer).

Lab Hours of Operation (Closed until further notice)

• Important Notice to Lab Customers: Please be advised that the Metrology Laboratory (Lab) is unable to accept test equipment for calibration and certification at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and suggest that you contact one of the other state labs to secure a date to drop off your equipment for its annual certification. As soon as the Lab is able to provide services, we will notify you.
