back to topWhat is the protocol for filing a complaint against a veterinarian and/or practice?

A complaint must be in writing. The complaint must include the name and address of the veterinarian you are filing the complaint against and/or the name and address of the practice you are filing the complaint against. Please include the pertinent information in approximately 1-3 pages long. You may send the complaint to:

Board of Veterinary Medicine
PO Box 2042
Concord, NH 03302-2042
OR you may email it to us at: vetboard@agr.nh.gov

back to topWhat are the continuing education descriptive requirements to appropriately assess my CEs for approval?

You must include the name of each lecture, a brief description of each lecture, the name and credentials of the speaker, and the amount of CEs assigned to each lecture. If the CE is RACE approved, you do not need to include the speaker name and credentials.

You may visit our web site and click on Licensing and in the "license lookup", fill in, "Profession", "License Type", and "Last Name". Once the veterinarian's name comes up that you are seeking, click on their name. An "Online Licensing" screen will come up. Scroll down where it says, "Board Action". Any disciplinary action taken will be under this heading (Board Action).

No. CEs are assessed lecture by lecture. For example, the Board does not approve practice management lectures no matter who facilitates them. (Please see Licensing page and "Continuing Education" for a list of other types of lectures that may or may not be approved by the Board.)
