Pesticide Licensing
   
 

The Division requires licensing or permitting of all commercial and private pesticide applicators as well as pesticide dealers. Through this process, only persons demonstrating satisfactory competence in the safe and legal use of pesticides within New Hampshire may apply pesticides. The Division also requires re-certification whereby every five years each licensed individual attends educational seminars to ensure they remain up to date in pesticide knowledge. This subdivision is ultimately responsible for coordinating all required testing, licensing and permitting for pesticide applicators and dealers.

Exams must be scheduled in advance with the Division of Pesticide Control.
Exams are given on Friday mornings, contact (603) 271-3694 to make the necessary arrangements.

Pesticide Applicator Core Tutorial:
This will link you to the Cornell University online training tutorial for the core manual. Please note that Chapter 2 deals with rules specific to New York, and not New Hampshire.
Applicators should be sure to obtain the NH Code of Administrative Rules to avoid any confusion.

You must contact the Division of Pesticide Control to determine what materials are needed for your category/commodity group.
To print study materials, pesticide applicators may use this link, not all materials are here, but some.

Forms:

You are now able to fill in your applications online, however, if a SIGNATURE is required anywhere on the form, you may fill in the form as necessary, but save the form to your computer, download and print the form, sign the form in the appropriate locations and send to our offices with the appropriate remittance due.
